"Tropical Nights" will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at The Biltmore Hotel. It is a fabulously fun and lively evening honoring special guests from our community. The people we honor at "Tropical Nights" are those who have been touched by autism personally or who have been active in the autism community showing both leadership and support.

This year's honorees include the Honorable Bob Graham (former Florida governor and US Senator), who has been dedicated to improving the quality of life of all Floridians, including those with autism. Our second honorees are Jean and Robert Schomber. They are longtime advocates of individuals with autism in Florida, ardent supporters of UM's Department of Psychology, and are largely responsible for the development of the Florida CARD program and ensuring its home at the University of Miami.

The overwhelming success of this event over the past five years has supported UM-NSU CARD's free programs, services and research initiatives to over nearly 4,000 individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

We hope you will help us in our efforts to continue to support and expand our valuable services and programs. Join us for a spectacular tropical-themed evening. With the help of our live musical entertainment we hope you will dance the night away while we raise money for UM-NSU CARD and increase Autism Awareness.

The Silent Auction will be held in the Danielson Gallery at the Biltmore. Take a sneak peak of the items.
